BLOG - A DAY IN MY LIFE!

Today, as a future educator, I was expected to undergo school-based experience programme at the school for a week. Thus, today, I will be sharing my experience for the third day at the school. Honestly speaking, my anxiety levels decreased significantly after the first day. So, I wasn't quite as nervous and tense before going to the school as I had been on day one.

Today, my friends and I are both taking a homemade lunch box to class today, thanks of our friend's mother. This takes me back to the days when my mum would prepare my lunchbox every morning before school. One may even say I was on the brink of bursting into tears if I hadn't been so concerned about ruining my makeup for the day.

Today, since this is the final week of classes, there are several activities scheduled to take place. To begin with, the day starts with a football match, conducted by one of the teacher trainees with minored in Physical Education. For this match, the pupils have to form their team by themselves before choosing one of the teacher trainees to act as their team manager. I'll never forget how they tentatively nudged one another to approach my friend to become their team manager.

Today, the final whistle capped an unforgettable day at the football match. STC (Sau Team Club) has scored two goals against Chelsea, resulting in a victory for STC. Nevertheless, it is worth to say that each all of them made significant efforts to triumph. And yet, the students' sportsmanship and camaraderie are what have left the greatest impression on me. Throughout the game, one of their friends suffered a cramp in his leg, and soon as they find out about it, all of them instantly ran over to help him. Moreover, they even hang around at the side-lines, ready to provide their friends a drink of water whenever they need it. This illustrates the depth of their friendship for one another.

Today, the school has also conducted a farewell party for the Year 6’s pupils, since this week is their last week at the school before having to make a big step to their teenager’s life. Interestingly, I saw yet another spectacular scene today. As I look over the class, there are tears in the eyes of the Year 6 pupils as their teachers gave them words of wisdom and a farewell speech. It was truly heart-warming to see how much the pupils appreciate and value their teachers.

Today, I ate a lot of delectable foods brought by the teachers of the school. There are numerous different dishes, including cheese macaroni, laksa Sarawak, roasted chicken wings and sausage, cendol, variety of fruits, and cheese tart. Everything is absolutely wonderful, from main dishes to the desserts. Nonetheless, if you were to ask me, I would answer that the cheese macaroni was my most favourite dishes there. It has an earthly heaven-like taste due to its rich and creamy flavour. I nearly pass out from the deliciousness of it.

Today, a few of the students came up to me as I walk pass their class, and gave me a handful of snacks as a gift. It was such an endearing scene, especially the way they came running after me just to give me snacks. I’d like to mention that I also played ‘UNO’ card games with the pupils during our break. It was honestly so fun to play with them before I go back home.

Bleep-bleep, that mark the end of my third day at the SK Kampung Sau. I hope to see you in my forthcoming entries again! Adios, my friends!
