BLOG - A DAY IN MY LIFE! Today, as a future educator, I was expected to undergo school-based experience programme at the school for a week. Thus, today, I will be sharing my experience for the third day at the school. Honestly speaking, my anxiety levels decreased significantly after the first day. So, I wasn't quite as nervous and tense before going to the school as I had been on day one. Today, my friends and I are both taking a homemade lunch box to class today, thanks of our friend's mother. This takes me back to the days when my mum would prepare my lunchbox every morning before school. One may even say I was on the brink of bursting into tears if I hadn't been so concerned about ruining my makeup for the day. Today, since this is the final week of classes, there are several activities scheduled to take place. "UNO” One day, a boy waves at me from behind the door of his class. I give him a return wave and flash him a bright grin. The kid and his pals are constantly nudging one another in my direction. I'm sure they're contemplating whether to come up to me or not. After a little nudging here and there, he finally makes his way up to me with a puppy-like eyes and asks, "Teacher, do you want to play with us?". Seeing his bright and expectant eyes, I can’t help but give him a slight nod in response. Thus, here we are, gathered around the table while holding the UNO cards. A few minutes has passed as we played, as my eyes feels itchy all of sudden. I tried to rub them gently, when suddenly someone pat my arms and said, “Eyf, it’s your turn. Although I'm still seated with the cards in my hands; the setting of the place has changed to the elementary school I attended at that time, and the peopl

Thus, here is a journal of how we spent our day at those two places!      Our first stop was the Sarawak Society for The Blind (Sibu Division Branch). It is a care home for the blinds which was located in Sibu. According to the manager, there are currently just two persons residing in this place, which explains why it appears to be so serene.      In order to not waste any time, we have divided some tasks, especially for the cleaning the structure. Some of us were sweeping the floor, while others were mopping it or cleaning the window panes. One of our lecturers even offers with hair trimming. It is genuinely heart-warming to see her doing it.      As we are cleaning the whole structure, we heard from one of the elders that he actually wants to go home like the other person. Unfortunat
